The dirty secret was that there never was any directive against Ivermectin. Here's what the FDA said in a recent lawsuit that they one but has been appealed.
On Tuesday, a lawyer representing [the] U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clarified the agency's stance on the use of Ivermectin for treating COVID-19 patients. The lawyer confirmed that doctors have the authority to prescribe the drug [...] for off-label use in treating COVID-19. [...]During the oral argument, Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, stated that the agency "explicitly recognizes" that doctors do have the authority to administer ivermectin to treat COVID.
"FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID," said Honold.
But what the FDA was doing was recommending that Ivermectin not be used. They actually created flyers labeling it as horse paste. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon that it meant Ivermectin was not to be used. Tony the Fauch and the NIH led that charge.
By the FDA remaining silent, so many lost their jobs and there were people who may have been saved if their doctor prescribed it.
