Obama admin repeatedly sought millions in CDC funding cuts, despite Biden’s attacks on Trump preparedness.

Poor Joe, he just can't get nothing correct.  Making crazy claims that President Trump cut the CDC Budget. It actually has increased under President Trump. This from the AP.

JOE BIDEN, comparing the Obama-Biden administration with now: “We increased the budget of the CDC. We increased the NIH budget. ... He’s wiped all that out. ... He cut the funding for the entire effort.”

THE FACTS: Wrong to say the agencies have seen their money cut. Biden is repeating the false allegation in a new ad that states the U.S. is unprepared for the virus because of “reckless cuts” to the CDC.  Financing has increased. Edited.

• Biden said Trump “tried to defund the NIH.” Trump did propose cutting NIH funding, but lawmakers instead have enacted increases.
• Multiple Democrats, including Bloomberg and Biden, have criticized Trump for getting rid of a pandemic response position on the National Security Council. The position was eliminated, although John Bolton, then-national security adviser, was the person directly responsible.
• Biden went too far when he claimed that Trump “hasn’t allowed his scientists to speak” about the coronavirus. It’s true that the government’s top scientists on infectious disease were told to clear their media interviews through a coronavirus task force, but they have since made numerous public appearances. 
• Finally this from ABC14 News.

  In its fiscal year 2013 price range, when Biden was vice president, the Obama administration sought a complete funding level of $5.9 billion from the CDC, or a $569 million reduce from the 2012 spending budget of $6.46 billion. In fiscal calendar year 2015, the Obama administration desired a $414 million slash 12 months-above-12 months, and again in the fiscal year 2017 finances, the Obama administration looked to eradicate $251 million in CDC funding.

As you can see, Biden was part of an administration that wanted to make cuts to the CDC. Helps explain why Obama-Biden never replaced the so needed masks, ventilators and other needed items.
