All the states need to clean up the Medicaid fraud.
This isn't just a blue state issue. We now have seen that Ohio and Nebraska have issues with fraud.
In May 2026, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), led by Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz, officially expanded a major anti-fraud crackdown to all 50 states. Under this directive, every single state is required to submit a comprehensive plan within 30 days to revalidate the health care providers participating in their respective Medicaid systems. Officials have emphasized that the effort is non-partisan, calling on both "red and blue" states to own the problem.
